Tina Kay
Owner/Instructor/Competitive Choreographer
Tina Kay began dancing at the early age of 7 under the tutelage of Abby
Lee Miller. She grew up taking master classes from instructors
nationally and internationally. Her extensive training in ballet, tap,
jazz, acro and contemporary has opened many doors for her during her
career. Her performance credits include: The Nutcracker, West Side Story
production, and Chicago the Musical to name a few. Ms. Kay had the
privilege to represent the United States during the Canadian and United
States Dance Wars. Very early on she came to the realization that
teaching and sharing her knowledge of dance was her passion. Many of her
students have pursued professional careers in the arts. Tina’s students
credits include: Wicked the National Tour, Tokyo Disney, Radio City
Music Hall Rockettes, MTV Video Music Awards, Just Dance 4, and numerous
music videos, touring casts and cruise lines. Tina recently joined the
teaching staff at Millennium Dance Complex which also has branch studios
in Los Angeles and Tokyo. Ms. Kay continues to travel the country
teaching master classes and setting choreography. Her innovative
choreography and positive teaching techniques have been her foundation
to a successful career.
Jamie Demarco
Instructor/Competitive Choreographer

Jamie DeMarco began her extensive dance schooling at the early age
of three with Maria Torrence at Maria's School of Dance in New
Brighton. There, Jamie trained, and competed in Ballet, Jazz, Tap,
Pointe, and Lyrical for 16 years. At the age of eight,
Jamie extended her training with the Civic Light Opera's
Pre-Professional Program; here she trained not only in Ballet,
Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, and African Dance; she also
intensely trained in CLO's Voice, Acting, and Musical Theater
Programs as well. Jamie became a CLO Mini Star at the age of eleven. A
few years later, Jamie was accepted into Point Park's Pre
Professional Program where she trained in Ballet, Pointe, Pas de
Deux, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical/Contemporary, Musical Theater, and
Voice. During this time, Jamie also began training in Ballroom;
specializing in Swing, Jitterbug, Cha Cha, Mambo, Rumba, and the
Waltz. Jamie has completed the first year of her Dance Masters of
America from the University of Buffalo NY while still in High
School. Jamie has performed in such shows as, Cabaret as
Helga, The King and I as Eliza, Grease as Cha Cha
Digregorio, Damn Yankees, Guys & Dolls, Bye
Bye Birdie, Oklahoma, Annie, God Spell,
Peter Pan, 100 Years of TV, as well as many
others. After High School, Jamie was accepted to dance with Pop
Starz in Hollywood Florida where she trained with Laurie Ann
Gibson from "Making the Band," Wade Robson from the "Wade
Robson Project," John R. Leonetti the Choreographer from "Honey,"
and the cast and crew from "You Got Served." Jamie also
danced The Off-Broadway Show in New York City with
Choreographer Chris Moss; as well as danced pre-professionally for
Savion Glover at Broadway Dance Center. In Addition,
Jamie received the opportunity to fly to New York City with the 1st
season of SYTYCD, and had been picked as one of the top 10
dancers on Aron Carters World Tour. Jamie has choreographed
for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat at the
Red Barn Theater, as well as Annie Get Your Gun at Ellwood
City High School. Jamie has also performed professionally for the
Pittsburgh Pirates in Pittsburgh and in Florida for three
years.
Jamie attended La Roche College, where she founded, choreographed,
and danced for the La Roche College Dance Team. Jamie lead La Roche
College dance Team to their first ever Collegiate Dance National;
winning their first ever Div. IV Title. Jamie then later completed
her Bachelor's Degree in Human Services and Psychology from Geneva
College.
Jamie's love for teaching, and passion for the Preforming Arts, has
taken her far in her career. Throughout her journey, she has also
found time to not only teach recreational dance and competitive
dance, but has also had the opportunity to coached cheering, dance
teams, and volunteered to help with different events/fundraisers
where Preforming Arts is prominent. Jamie's love for teaching, along
with her award winning choreography and training, is what she feels
is beneficial to helping children grow to reach and fulfill their
dreams.
Samantha Penberthy Instructor

Sam started dancing at the age of three. From there, her passion and
desire only grew and she started teaching her very own classes by
the age of fifteen. Sam graduated with a bachelor’s degree in
Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Pittsburgh. During
her college years, Sam was very active in the dance company and
performed at many collegiate events. Sam strives to make each child
feel special by adapting her teaching style to help him or her
become the best dancer possible. She works diligently to prepare all
of her students for any competitions, conventions, or events, and
supports the dancers by attending each opportunity. She has been
teaching for the past seven years and can’t wait to continue
teaching for many more years to come.

Intensity Dance Academy
At Intensity Dance Academy, our mission is to give each student the
opportunity to reach their full potential and to enhance their lives as they
practice and learn the art of dance. We welcome all ages and levels of
dancers, and strive to provide the most positive and memorable experience
for all of our students.
We offer two levels of Intensity to meet the needs of all our dancers.
Intensity I is
our non-competitive level and Intensity II is our competitive level.
