Intensity II Competitive Level

Intensity II
is our competitive division designed for the dancer who
wants a more intense work load. These students will attend a
number of regional competitions and conventions during the
season, a national competition every other year, as well as
our Spring Showcase held annually.
Competitive Team:
If your child chooses to compete with the IDA team,
auditions will be held every year in August. Choreography
for the upcoming year will start in September. If you miss
or are unable to attend, please contact the front desk to
schedule an evaluation.
Apparel: Team apparel is available to all students at
IDA. All apparel orders will be available online only.
Private Lessons:
Private Lessons and Semi-Private Lessons are available through IDA, these lessons are not guaranteed. Privates can be scheduled through the
front desk or through the teacher directly. A private card or individual
privates can be purchased through the front desk only. Privates
cancelled within 24 hours will still be charged.
Tuition:
Tuition is due on the 1st of the month. Payments received
after the 10th of the month will be charged a $15 late fee.
IDA tuition is based on a 10 month payment plan. First
payment is due upon registration, then due September 1st
through May 1st. Registration fees and first month tuition
are non-refundable. We accept cash, checks, Visa, Master
Card and Discover. You have the option to pay through the
customer portal on our website or at the front desk.
Dress Code:
Ballet dress code is Level Specific leotard, pink
tights and ballet shoes (Students may wear black shorts or a black
ballet skirt over their leotard).
Please have your child wear
appropriate dance attire to all classes: black dance shorts, sports
bra/tank or leotard. Please see a list of shoes for your child’s class and level.
Missed Classes: When a student is absent from class, please see the front desk to get a list of available make up times.
Inclement Weather Cancellation: Intensity Dance Academy will follow the Mars Area school district cancellation when pertaining to snow
cancellation. If school is closed due to low temperatures, a decision will be made by 11:00 AM as to class cancellation.
Performance Costumes:
All students at Intensity Dance Academy will participate in
a Spring Showcase. Competitive Students will wear their
competitive routine costumes for The Showcase.
Food and Drink: Students are permitted to bring water into their classroom to remain hydrated during their class. Please no flavored or
colored drinks in studio rooms. Food should be contained at all times in designated eating areas (If your Child has a food allergy please notify
the front desk upon registration).
Respect Code: Our studio is
a place where all dancers will feel safe and accepted, with a sense of
belonging. As such, IDA enforces a non-bullying environment.

Welcome to Intensity Dance
Academy
At Intensity Dance Academy, our mission is to give each
student the opportunity to reach their full potential and to
enhance their lives as they practice and learn the art of dance.
We welcome all ages and levels of dancers, and strive to provide
the most positive and memorable experience for all of our
students.
We offer two levels of Intensity to meet the needs of all our
dancers. Intensity I is our non-competitive level and Intensity
II is our competitive level.
